I participated in the Intro school. The best part about the curriculum, and the instructors, is that during the first session of the day they can evaluate your current driving ability. The instructors adapted the teaching so that each student got the most out of the school. If you have just begun autocrossing, they focus on the fundamental driving techniques. But lets say you have looking ahead down pretty good, they arent going to waste your time working on that, they recognize where you may need improvement with a particular technique/element and hone/develop that.
I was able to get valuable instruction on areas I needed help on that I wasnt necessarily aware of. But the biggest thing I saw was in the other students throughout the day. While working the course I was able to see the other participants evolve throughout the day. It was mind-blowing the difference in performance of EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the school by the end of the day. Many started off looking like novices on course, and graduated to driving like seasoned veterans by the last session.
The instructors do drive your car, but they do not launch your car or beat on it at all. It is so that they can get an understanding of your vehicles dynamics so that they can provide you with the best instruction. Its not about them showing you how much faster they may be in your car, but what it should feel/look like to do the autocross elements properly.
The information you get out of the school is immense, and is the best money spent to making the car faster. The beauty of it is, you are making the DRIVER faster which translates to any car you drive.
