I am not capable of classing my car apparently. The online guide on the NE Scca site is not working either.

My first Auto X is tomorrow AM and i dont know what to class my self in? DS?

I have a Boost controller and springs. Other than that my car is stock performance wise. Any help would be appreciated.

You will be in Street Mod (SM).
If you can pull the boost controller off for the autocross you would be in STX.

Yep the BC is coming off then. I dont want to get whooped on too bad my first day out. Can i run STX novice?

Springs wouldn't put you in STS? I know you can run STS Novice, or at least I am pretty sure you can. I tried to register STS Novice, but our area fills up too quickly and I had to do just STS.

YEP i pull my mbc prior to autox events and run ds.....but since u have after market springs ur thrown into stx

Can you tell me which link you were using for the Novice Guide on the NER site is? I'll get it fixed tonight.... I took over duties a little while ago... and I inhereited a mess... so much a mess that I'm rebuilding the site... slowly into a brand new one. :D (It probably linked to the SCCA national site... which they recently released a new site... and much of the old information no longer exists on their server)

So what did you think of the event this weekend? :) I was the guy in the Silver WRX wagon. :)

This is the link I was trying to use. I didnt end up making it down to the event unfortunately. I had family up from Virginia so I spent the day riding motorcycles with my father and my uncle. Dont worry though I will be attending an event soon!

Thanks again!
Greg.

Ok, that's a link to the main SCCA site that doesn't exist. So yeah... that needs to be fixed... but I need to know on which page on the NER site... :)

Its called a joke.
Who over tweaked your nipples?(laugh)

Although would adjusting the waste gate be cheating?
He could simply readjust the wastegate aswell and then the car would be stock but with a simple tweak.

I figured it was a joke, I was just being my usual, abrasive self... lol... On a more serious not though, "adjusting" the wastegate would still bump you out of stock class....

Dan

P.S.- Don't cheat!!!(blowup) (drive)

In your factory service manuals, does it have a process or a reason in which the wastegate would be adjusted? ie: Car not seeing stock boost.

If not, it's just a screw/bolt/nut, right? ;) If it doesn't define what the stock position/measurement is in the FSM, how would one protest that it's not in the 'stock as delivered' location? What's the tolerance of measurement to be used? (I bet that's not in the FSM either)

(I don't like cheaters either... that's why I never wash my engine, and let rust build up... if anything is clean/shiny... it stands right out) :D

UNless the FSM has a boost specification then I think it would be kosuer as a position would be a hard thing to dcitate in a manual.
