Has anyone been able to disable their speed limiter?

This is mainly focused towards people that have an EMS.. Or, if you dont have an EMS and you have disabled it.. Let us know how..

this reminds me of the thread where the cx7 owner was all irate that his turbo SUV wouldn't go much past 105mph. you know, because thats necessary and safe for a vehicle like a cx7.

is there any reason - any real reason - to go past 135mph in any car? sure there is, if you own a NASCAR stock car, an IRL or Formula1 car or a top fuel dragster. you'll never see that rate of speed autocrossing, never really see it on a road course (safely in a protege anyway), probably not on a dragstrip in this car and so what if the VEEDUB homies think they're all bad? they won't look so bad when they pile into a median or overpass support at 130+ now will they?

Speed limiter? I was under the imperssion our cars didn't have one. Ohh, and if yall are going that fast make sure you are the only being in the car and when you crash, do so against an inanimate object with nobody around so the only thing hurt/dead is yourself.

non turbo 3rd gen proteges are drag limited regardless to about 130mph. now everything i have read said that the MSP is electronically limited. i can tell you that even if it wasn't, you're not going wring much more out of it. at that point its not about tuning, its about sheer power and simple aerodynamics.

yes drag limited. I was under the impression all pro's were. I remember deadulus(or whatever his name was) got his MSP to do 140....well marked on the speedo that is.
