are 100% sure they are "Racing Beat" (<- click link) springs and not "MSP" springs? if they are MSP springs, they will be way too low in the rear unless you get MSP struts.

I got msp springs because i have a msp.
but i just now realize that my struts are not tokicos. there stock proteges cause the a hole before me with the car did something retarted..

what do i do?

you screwed yourself. are you sure they are regular protege struts? are they black, or blue? the rear MSP springs are shorter and will cause the rear to sit much lower than it should. they need to be paired with MSP struts, which you can only get from the dealer for gobbs of $$$$.

no... ebay sells 4 struts for 400 but thats alot..

new.

also..

there black struts..

like i said stock protege.

yeah so basically its like sitting on the tire and i cant get in my car due to it being so low so i cant drive it...

aghh

be careful ,because the regular Tokico HP's (Blue's) are NOT the same as the MSP struts.

go into detaIL...

really? ok...

the msp has shorter rear springs, so the spring perch on the msp struts is higher to bring the ride height back up to acceptable levels. the tokico hp's have the same spring perch as the regular protege, so they will drop too much with MSP springs.

if you have MSP springs, you NEED MSP struts. if you use protege struts, aftermarket or stock, you CANNOT use MSP springs.

Thank you.. So I don't really know way the cheapest way to go
is.. Illhave to post a wtb thread and see if anyone is sellingg map struts.. That's prob the best way to go yeah?

what springs were on the car before? the "CHEAPEST" fix would be to put the other springs back on until you can afford a proper set-up.

Yeah, yeah.. I know.. But if you go into the appreance.. Look at a thread called, "my protege along with an msp" or something.. The springs are ridiculous and make my car look like a monster truck.

then you have a choice: get the correct MSP struts, or get different springs. if you cant afford either of those, then the only option is to put the old springs back on.
