So I have to ask? Which HIDS to get?

Did you happen to write up and install? If not can you share how did this lighting wizardry?

Well, if you can install lightbulbs, installing HIDs in the fogs is just a simple. The only difference is find some really strong doublesided tape to mount the ballasts up inside the bumper area and zip ties for the cables.

mine came with the double-sided tape, but I agree that the hardest part is finding a place to mount the ballasts... well that and the stupid gay-ass metal clips that hold the bulbs in place

Just wanted to mention that when it comes to the fog lights, there is a metal cylinder-type thing wrapped around the light bulb, and it doesn't need to be there (no glare if you pull it off.) By yanking that piece of metal out of the fog light housing, you can definitely improve the light performance, even of stock light bulbs, let alone better yellow bulbs or HID's. IMO, pull that piece of metal out of the housing before judging the fogs ineffective.

Credit goes to Rotus I think, on this little trick. I didn't even pull mine all the way out (I couldn't get my hand to contort into the right position to pull it out), I just bent it out of the way and the results are similar.

wow, no glare from removing the "glare" shield? just wow, man. i get tons of glare with my H3C hids in my stock housings with that thing there. i couldn't imagine if it wasn't there.

Well I'm talking about the fogs only, I imagine that this wouldn't work out so well for main headlights (if they had glare shields on them on our model.)

Once I yanked them out of the way, I conducted tests by parking away from a wall, noting where each light would overpoweringly glare. For the stock headlight housings using the Silverstar ULTRA bulbs I bought, that point was with my eyes somewhere near the bottom of the headlight housing area. With the fogs, it was with my face to the pavement. Only ants and potential roadkill are getting glare the way I've got it set up now.

Ok well here is another question?

Can you describe how to take the bumper off or do I even need to do that in order to access the fog lights?

My kit was designed for the 9006's, so i didnt need any clips.

They move out of the way because it's blinding them........

My old setup with 8000k and 3000k fogs.
