okay well basically i jsut want to make my car faster than SRT4's...... i f***ing hate those cocky ass drivers and i wana put them in their place. so would i be able to accomplish that on stock internals do u guys think? so i recon about 240whp??

cocky ass srt4 driver here..let me know when i need to take a road trip so i can show u why srt4 drivers are cocky...but with that being said i love my msp and im actually building mine so i can rip ass on my srt4 which unfortunately i dont think will happen on the same budget.20,000 grand is my limit and that got me 510 whp and 518 wtq.i seriously doubt i will get that out of my msp without spending a significant amount more then 20,000.but i do love my msp.i like the look of it better and i feel its put together better all around bodywise unfortunately they didnt pay much mind to the engine and tranny internals which makes for exspensive uprgades when building.
and as far as how much you can get out of a msp on stock internals i believe you can go 300whp if you have a extremely safe tune and supporting mods,and be gentle on the tranny when shifting,but thats just a opinion i put together all myself ill let you know how it works out for me because i will be there by july and if it goes boom i dont care cause i plan on building the engine anyway.including the block so if thats goes o well gotta pay to play

i has power rear windows in the srt4..also heated seats (nana) haha but i love my msp and hopefully someday i can achieve the same number that the srt4 does.ive actually considerd transplanting the srt4 driveline into the the msp but it would be a (bang) experiance to get it done

I took my car into Mazda and had my intake manifold replaced under recall.

they failed to reattach my coolant lines and let me drive away AFTER they said they already took it for a testdrive to ok everything

word... I took the MSP into the Speed Dealer to have the front motor mount replaced under warranty and later that afternoon I get a call and the manager said you need to come in theres some things we nee to talk about... I was like OH **** WHAT HAPPEND... I rush up there and the manager says they couldnt honor the warrenty because I modified the modified the motor, they were talking about the turbo... so after I sat there and argued with him for an hour or so, I finally proved it to him because my buddy that drove me up there had one of them fancy internet phones... the manager just said, well I'm going to have to look into this more, walks off and comes back and says he just got off the phone with MAzda America and were sorry for the inconvienence... SERIOUSLY WTF MATE...

If the dealers act like they know what there talking about and havent proven to you that they actually do... dont listen to them...

hey the MSP's may not be faster but atleast our back windows are... and thats important if you carry alot of drunk ppl or ppl that get motion sickness in your back seat...

i am so dissapointed i have built hondas for 14 years i have a tuner shop in east tennessee i have wanted a msp for a few years when i got mine 2 years ago they are rare and i think the setup is great all around but i am very upset about how weak the motor and tranny is i have built many 300-600 hp hondas of course on my customers budget but how can a actory non turbo car hold boost on stock internals than a company like mazda that made these from factory i have broke my lsd now my motor has blown with 112000 miles on it and since i fixed the tranny i have only been running 6 psi i have been waiting on my turbolife fmic so now i have to replace my pistons and rods turn the crank and all the rest of the bs i guess my point is with a set of eagle h beams and good pistons a honda can handle all you can give it even with just a fmu,that is what we use to have to use before ems.to hear everyone on this forum even with built internals it is really hard to get over 300hp that is sad we need to step our game up

im just messin around.i agree though alot of people thin their cars are the best out there.sti,srt,wrx,s2000,evo ect but they should have respet for all vehicles i mean after all everyone likes the same thing..performance..rather then hate on someones ride give them credit where credit is due..im nor preduce to any vehicle make or model.i seen a kia that would s*** on a srt,msp,evo,sti. i HATE KIA's but he has one bad ass sleeper ride.i give him the thumbs up..

so i read all the forums on here and what not and i hear all this stuff about how u cant go over 10psi on the stock internals and what not and how u need to do a forged build if u hope to get anywhere near 300WHP. and i went to my local performance shop today and i was told that all i would need to do is replace the head bolts and thats it... and with just doing that i will be able to up the boost well over 10psi on the stock internals. the guy i talked to worked for mazda and he told me strories about the MSP and how the engines can handle a fair amount. i was also told i should be able to get about 300 WHP on the stock internals. now thats just the engine i know i gotta worry about the clutch and LSD and what not.

so im just wondering whats going on here cuz from what he said compared to what i hear on here is WAY different. so who is right?

this is true if you own a honda,trust me i know, but mazdas is un-charted territory for me .....could be true could not be... as far as i know the engines weakness is its rods because they look like twigs
