okay well basically i jsut want to make my car faster than SRT4's...... i f***ing hate those cocky ass drivers and i wana put them in their place. so would i be able to accomplish that on stock internals do u guys think? so i recon about 240whp??

I took my car into Mazda and had my intake manifold replaced under recall.
they failed to reattach my coolant lines and let me drive away AFTER they said they already took it for a testdrive to ok everything
cocky ass srt4 driver here..let me know when i need to take a road trip so i can show u why srt4 drivers are cocky...but with that being said i love my msp and im actually building mine so i can rip ass on my srt4 which unfortunately i dont think will happen on the same budget.20,000 grand is my limit and that got me 510 whp and 518 wtq.i seriously doubt i will get that out of my msp without spending a significant amount more then 20,000.but i do love my msp.i like the look of it better and i feel its put together better all around bodywise unfortunately they didnt pay much mind to the engine and tranny internals which makes for exspensive uprgades when building.
and as far as how much you can get out of a msp on stock internals i believe you can go 300whp if you have a extremely safe tune and supporting mods,and be gentle on the tranny when shifting,but thats just a opinion i put together all myself ill let you know how it works out for me because i will be there by july and if it goes boom i dont care cause i plan on building the engine anyway.including the block so if thats goes o well gotta pay to play
im not saying all SRT4 drivers.. some are really good guys but most of the ones where i am from... they run thier mouths SOOOO much and beak every single other car that roles by even tho the majority of them have beat the s*** out of the SRT4 in a race. like ya i know they are pretty quik cars but the owners here act like there is no such thing as a faster car than an SRT4 so i just kinda wanted to put them guys in their place... which.... unfortunately the MSP wont let me acheive.. im on the persuit for speed and i need a car to support that haha.

The worse owners of cars are STi owners though, I know all type of car people
so i read all the forums on here and what not and i hear all this stuff about how u cant go over 10psi on the stock internals and what not and how u need to do a forged build if u hope to get anywhere near 300WHP. and i went to my local performance shop today and i was told that all i would need to do is replace the head bolts and thats it... and with just doing that i will be able to up the boost well over 10psi on the stock internals. the guy i talked to worked for mazda and he told me strories about the MSP and how the engines can handle a fair amount. i was also told i should be able to get about 300 WHP on the stock internals. now thats just the engine i know i gotta worry about the clutch and LSD and what not.
so im just wondering whats going on here cuz from what he said compared to what i hear on here is WAY different. so who is right?
