so i am confused about the output capabilities of these engines...

well one of the first things to go usually is the piston rings (engines in general) then bent rods holes in pistons, rod through the block u name it any rotating mass inside the block can fail from overboosting espically on this car!!!
 
okay well basically i jsut want to make my car faster than SRT4's...... i f***ing hate those cocky ass drivers and i wana put them in their place. so would i be able to accomplish that on stock internals do u guys think? so i recon about 240whp??

What are you trying to beat the SRT4 on?? On turns you got them beat from the factory. It's the straight line that you will most likely never acheive your goal without a proper motor build and larger turbo, plus the supporting mods to go with it.
 
12-14lbs of boost since new. The car runs awesome. Some are different I guess. I am also on a stock trans and LSD. Some people get scurred. I just don't I knew one day I would blow it up. I never put a hole in the block but I did crack my #3 and #4 ring landings.
 
well unfortunately around here SRT4 divers run thier mouth more than u can imagine and all we have is straight lines tracks.... canadian praries..... gotta love em lol.
 
Sell your car and get an SRT-4

then, go mock the other Mazda drivers that they can't beat you in a straight line
 
or just do what im doing and make most of the cars eat sh*t and die when your done,(4k on build engine done right with supporting mods) getting beat by a protege (price less)
 
cant get the R34 in canada till 2010.... fucken government wont let u import a RHD car newer that 15 years old.. and the r34 didnt come out till 95 i beleive
 
Well if u believe what that mechanics says then go for it. Maybe u can achieve those type of numbers on the stock internals. But there is plenty of members on this forum that have blowin their engines and their msps have been sitting in garages for months. I just wuldnt take advise from a dealership mechanic. I think they only specialize in oil changes.
 
i didnt say i was acutally going to do it. hell no i wont try it. i was just getting mixed signals and wanted to be sure. now i know fro sure
 
well being a nissan guy at heart.... id say the R34... but not just a R34 GTR, there is an R34 GTS-R (4 door if you can get it) thats sweet and will be cheeper than the GTR and its RWD and has the RB26DETT in it, the only major differance it the cheaper insurance, cheaper car, RWD, and it looks like a GT25 (or gts-t depending on the year)
 
I'd give a testicle for an R34...Only the left one though it just hangs to low and gets in the way while shifting anyway....

BTW The good ol' USA won't allow any cars that weren't brought here originally like the R34 till it's 25 years old!!! I still have to wait 3 years to bring a LWD suzuki samurai over the boarder.
