Snowspeed 3's. I'll Start

Oo noo don't be offended. I got me speed in December and I couldn't afford winter tires with the speed payments, so I just use my rents car when it snows. But, when I get caught coming home from work when it starts snowing.. MAN, is this thing ever so s*** in the snow! *not that I expected anything better*

I'm in the exact same situation. Still got my stock tires so I don't drive very much. Only take it out on the main roads when the roads are dry. I've driven very slowly on some side streets and noticed how poor their perform even with small amounts of snow/slush. Feels like you're floating + the traction control light flashes. Saving now for next winter.

I grew up driving in upstate NY snow courtesy of the lake effect.

To quote Chris Rock.. "You can drive with your feet but that don't make it a good idea."

If I was caught in snow with the stock tires that's one thing but to actually go out and drive on them is dangerous. In Va, we don't get enough snow to really matter. The few times we get 6-8 inches I'll take something other than the MS3.

I really hate the lake effect!

It's not so bad, but seeing salt on the car hurts really bad. That and hearing another snow storm coming hurts even worse I was gonna wash the car sometime next week gah!

Guys, do you know if a 15" steelie will fit our MS3's? I have a set at home that's 215/60/15 and really don't want to get rid of them if they'll fit. Otherwise i'll have to sell them and get 16" steelies instead for winter.

I believe 16s are the smallest that fit due to the big front brakes.

The panhandle region gets some pretty good snow, but who lives there but Oakies? ;-)

We've had alot of snow this winter. I'm glad I bought the Dunlop Winter tires and 16" sport wheels. The car actually handles great with them.
