I shut down when he was about 7-8 lengths up and still pulling. Stoped to talk to him shortly after. Acura RSX-S motor (K20, right?) with I/H/E/Cams/tune and a fifty shot. Was not pretty.

A bunch of years ago I was coming home from work on a nice summer day and two ricers -one in a hopped up civic and the other in an eclipse - both loud as hell, and revving their engines at the light. Well they both got SMOKED by a guy in a 70's Olds convertible with a big v-8 when the light turned green. The coolest part was that the guy in the Olds had his wife and two kids in car seats in the car with the top down. Talk about a kick in the nuts!

Coolest part, i don't know. I'd say that's the dumbest part.

Street racing with your kids in car seats in the back = ultimate stupidity

Some people shouldn't have kids.

Is that what happened? I used to see the van and a bunch of the turbo K cars all the time at the track. Then it seems all of a sudden they stopped showing up.

Best sleeper I saw was this guy autocrossing.
He was high in the top 10 of the day. Big r-compounds were the only give away.

Dodge made 2.5 Turbo Caravans, Shadows, Daytonas and a couple of the other KCars. They also made the Omni GLH (Goes Like Hell) etc...

The easiest way to tell a turbo Caravan from another is it has a dual exit muffler with turndowns, as opposed to the regular single exit muffler.
