skincare for men!?

Ive played around with a lot of things.
Gillete made some face cleaning shave cream that was great, no replacement for washing your face but it did keep all the little pimples off the beard area.
Err in the morning I use st Ivfes aprocot scrub (close enough to sand paper) at night depending on how my face is holding up either just water is its dry. Soap if really oily and neutogena deep clean if I feel I need it. Its wired if I use the same thing everyday Ill get pimples and black heads but if I change up my face feels better and no blemishes.

....... Have you ever looked through a Mens Health?
No, because I am not gay.
Seriously, just because the cosmetic/beauty industry managed to sucker women into believing all that crap, like "soap dries your skin", now they are going after Men. It's all a scam. Take a shower every day. Use alchohol if you need an astringent and you'll be fine. I don't even like all that s*** on chicks.

Since when do you have to be gay to read mens health? If your in to working out, cardio or any other form of body and self bettering then its a very quality magazine.

So true. (thumb)

So I use Clinique face stuffs. Well, just face scrub and face wash before I shave, and their aftershave. It works great.

I used to have acne so this is all to familiar to me. I have found that certain products work for certain people and there is not really any one product that is better than another.

For me the best is cetaphil (sp? I dont look at the bottle to much :) ). I just use that once a day and than if for some reason there is a "suspicious" spot on my face, I use differin night cream.

I think the foods and other things you eat affect it to, water helps alot.

For the rest of my skin, I used lever 2000. I have found certain soaps to also have varied results based on the individual using the product.

Shampoo works best on acned up skin.

It's made to be gentle on your scalp/skin, yet get the oil out of your hair. It works just as well as face wash.

I must admit, i use nivea oil control face wash every few days. first thing that has ever cleared up my occasional acne problems. must be dem "marine plant extracts".... highly recommended (2thumbs) (***cough, cough....scratches groin***)

and of course for that manly scent on date nights, i go straight for the 10W30 motor oil. it's like one of them...ummm.... aff...ro....de...z...aks.

let me guess what the next thread will be about, what do you use to shave your balls with....BWAHAHAHA.
nope. just your face.

if you need advice on shaving your balls, i think clubprotege.com is the place to be (thumb)

I dont have bad skin but I use Clearasil Daily Face Wash , so my face isnt that oily and then when i do get a zit i use Clearasil Ultra Acne Treatment Cream and it is goin in 2 or 3 days.

- i use simple soap + some $0.69 shampoo (1.5litre bottle) for cleaning my body. and yes, soap WILL dry out your skin if it's not healthy enough to recover as soon as required. same goes with the hair, if it's healthy, you won't need additional blehbleh.

- when i have a wet shave, i use soap, a blade and cold water. cold water is required to close the skin's pores (hope that's the right word) immediately so it won't itch and there won't be any bacteria coming into the pores. because i use cold water, i don't need an aftershave lotion or whatever.

- occasionally i get rid of some body hair because i feel like it suits the air temperature and humidity.

- $0.29 toothpaste is sufficient for me, every now and then i got some dental floss in my hands to remove stuff. i always have a bottle of mouthwash on the sink, i use it every evening and every morning.

- i use pure nivea when a) i worked with substances that attack the skin or b) if it's damn cold outside.

- i use a deodorant spray, because if i don't i will smell like some oriental herbal shop within the shortest time.

- when i know attractive women will be around, i use some very decent perfume

- when i know unattractive women will be around, i won't use some perfume, because i won't be there.

leads to => i never had acne, pimples, dry skin, oleaginous skin, dandruffs or whatever; never in my life, even when i was a teenager.

i never really toyed with the idea of using all those useless additional products, simply because i always knew they're worth nothing, or worse, will manipulate your body and put you in some vicious circle where you will have to use them or you get problems if you don't...

i know women love all these products because women simply love the procedure of "taking care" of something... if it's useful or not doesn't really matter as long as they have the feeling of having done something good... don't blame them. it's not really their fault.

but if you're a man and you have the feeling that products like extra skin care, anti dandruff shampoo or whatever are actually good for you, or if you think that you can get some important information or some real wisdom out of a colourful weekly magazine: go see a doctor, your hormones might be a little unbalanced.

hmm shampoo to clean the body? i always used a loofa and some regular soap. guess i will try using shampoo to see if it does good for the body.

nivea body lotion on my face after showering. it makes my face soft and keeps my skin from flaking as well as provides a protective layer from any kind of debris that I encounter during the day
