- i use simple soap + some $0.69 shampoo (1.5litre bottle) for cleaning my body. and yes, soap WILL dry out your skin if it's not healthy enough to recover as soon as required. same goes with the hair, if it's healthy, you won't need additional blehbleh.
- when i have a wet shave, i use soap, a blade and cold water. cold water is required to close the skin's pores (hope that's the right word) immediately so it won't itch and there won't be any bacteria coming into the pores. because i use cold water, i don't need an aftershave lotion or whatever.
- occasionally i get rid of some body hair because i feel like it suits the air temperature and humidity.
- $0.29 toothpaste is sufficient for me, every now and then i got some dental floss in my hands to remove stuff. i always have a bottle of mouthwash on the sink, i use it every evening and every morning.
- i use pure nivea when a) i worked with substances that attack the skin or b) if it's damn cold outside.
- i use a deodorant spray, because if i don't i will smell like some oriental herbal shop within the shortest time.
- when i know attractive women will be around, i use some very decent perfume
- when i know unattractive women will be around, i won't use some perfume, because i won't be there.
leads to => i never had acne, pimples, dry skin, oleaginous skin, dandruffs or whatever; never in my life, even when i was a teenager.
i never really toyed with the idea of using all those useless additional products, simply because i always knew they're worth nothing, or worse, will manipulate your body and put you in some vicious circle where you will have to use them or you get problems if you don't...
i know women love all these products because women simply love the procedure of "taking care" of something... if it's useful or not doesn't really matter as long as they have the feeling of having done something good... don't blame them. it's not really their fault.
but if you're a man and you have the feeling that products like extra skin care, anti dandruff shampoo or whatever are actually good for you, or if you think that you can get some important information or some real wisdom out of a colourful weekly magazine: go see a doctor, your hormones might be a little unbalanced.
