I have a 02 p5 IN SUNLIGHT SILVER, and i been notice some paint problem at the side underspoiler, door handles, and the rear spoiler. When you look at these parts at different angle, you will see that the paint color is NOT EVEN. It's like they missed some spot. Is this going to be under warranty? Also i think the silver looks ugly under direct sunlight. Is Mazda paint THAT CHEAP?? Anyone have any problem with their silver??

I, too, have a silver p5. I've had mine for over a year. I haven't experienced any of your problems. My paint is holding up very well. I think the silver looks best under direct sunlight. The paint sparkles under the sun. It's gorgeous.

I'm having problems the paint is "chipping" I'm trying to get a meeting set up with the mazda rep...my car has only 3500 mile and I noticed this the weekend I bought the car home...good luck, you'll need it....

jdm_sport20, do the paint flaws look like light blotchy spots?, because if so I have the same problem. They're only on the driver side door under the window and can only be seen under direct sunlight like you metioned. It's not too noticeable, but I notice.

EXACTLY!!! That's how they look. But mine is on the both side underbody, all of the side door handles, and the spoiler. i want to bring it to the dealer, but was afraid that it will not show up when i'm there.. What can cause this? Paint too thin? it seens that it is only on parts that are not metal.
