Side markers??

Does any one have the tinted/blacked out side markers?? I want to get them but I am curious if they cause it to be TOO dark. Any one??

I have the film over mine. I dont think they are too dark, but even if they were they dont serve as blinkers and you have the driving lights inside the housing to make you visible if you're driving without headlights.

Thats true... Do u know if there are laws against it? Im sure if there are its different from state to state. I was looking at other cars and other cars dont have them! So i am guessing that maybe there is no reason why we cant black them completely out.. right?

I dont see why not, unless im mistaken I dont think the 3's have them. I think one of the laws with lights are that your blinkers have to be amber and you cant have any blue / red lights facing forward since they are emergency colors.

it IS illegal to alter/darken any lighting/safety equipment

How can it be illegal to alter something that isnt even required on a car...think about it. Thats like saying I cant black out my fog lights...If the equipment isn't mandatory to have on a vehicle then you can do what you want with it, as long as you dont violate other laws in the process...ie color of the light. And if what you're saying is true then it would be illegal to change factory headlights to HID's...that is altering is it now? These lights really dont serve much purpose other than being extra. They're not signal lights, you have parking lights that come on inside the housing...they are merely there for design purposes.

they ARE required. all vehicles must have a amber corner marker. it doesn't have to light up, but there must be a reflective amber marker at the front corner of the vehicle. a lot of cars have them built into the headlights, but they are on ALL vehicles.

i got a newb question that i couldnt find any direct answers to. are the speed 6 side markers the same as the regular 6's?
