I'm going to look into some other bumpers, also different mirrors as well. I figure what the hell I might as well make the best of it since it happened. I also ordered a CF hood (JSP w/ red Kevlar weave) the day before the accident oddly enough. I'm going to see if I can my insurance to pay for that as well.

DAMB...allot of cars that went down...
well myne got hit a 4K on the odomiter, after i bought the car new like 1-2 months earlyer....had EVERY PANNEL ON DRIVER SIDE WAS HIT/skidded...needed every panel on my drives side replaced....it cost like 7K...i fliped out and wanted a new car...i didnt buy a new Mazda to have it get hit 4k later....but now its ok, but the shop that did the work sucked at painting, did a good body job but a poor paint job, starting to peel some places....

got rear-ended in the rain while waiting for the car in front of me to turn left. kid came over a hill and slam! i saw in comin and i grabbed the steering wheel, pushed back, and slammed the brakes. luckily he didn't hit me head on but he turned into oncoming traffic a little too late. lucky for him no on was in the oppossing lane or he would probably be dead. he was driving on a suspended license for a DUI that was reduced to a reckless charge. he almost went to jail. was about 6500+ and counting. it took a month to get it back and i still need a wheel, a weld is rusting, trunk leaks, alarm arms but doesn't do anything, and trunk doesn't line up at all, plus all the medical i've incurred from my injured back, when all is said and done i'de say it's probably around $8500.

i wish i had pictures of all the accidents i've been involved in... (and it's not because of my driving) i'll state two examples...
first... the stupidest accident i've been in... and the main reason why i sold my truck...
i was at my boys speed shop (cartrix, newark, nj) i had a chevy trailblazer at the time... fully loaded... pretty big truck... not the biggest... i was parked in the parking lot... i get out of the shop... i have clear sight of what is behind my truck before i even get into the damn thing... and their was nothing behind me...
next thing i know... i hop in my truck and start backing up ... i look i don't see anyone... until finally i'm about to pull off the parking lot... and wouldn't you believe it... my truck comes to a sudden stop... turned out, some asshole actually pulled up to the exit of the lot and paralell parked (blocking the exit) now i find this extremely hard to believe that someone see's a big truck with it's reverse lights on... moving backwards... and actually goes ahead and illegally paralell parks in the path of the truck...
well... i hit him... my toe hitch completely bent his B pillar... total lossed his nissan ultima... and my truck only had one small scratch on the bumper... (thank god for insurance)... but to top it off... do you believe the insurance blamed me... apparently in the state of NJ if you are reversing... no matter what the situation you are at least 50% to blame... (only i got 100%) bastards...
now on to my worst car accident...
i used to own a 2002 bmw z3 (3.0) ... beatiful car... the most missed of all my vehicles... had to trade it in for the truck cause it got me into too much trouble.
so i'm pulling up to a stop sign...
i stop (not completely) but enough to see if their is anyone coming... their was no one coming... so i go... out of the freakin blue... a toyota highlander turns the corner from a block away... this guy must have been going at least 45 mph... he t-bones the s*** out of my z3 on the passanger side door/fender... if it wasn't for the top being down... i would have flown out of the car... all i remember was looking to my left and a set of huge head lights coming at me... a screech... and a loud boom... next thing i know, my car is 20 feet from where it originally was and i was getting out of the car asking if everyone was ok... had a huge headache... and a big bump on my head... but my z3 needed a new door and a new fender (thank god it didn't catch the hood cause that would have been expensive...) just looking at the car and the way it was would send chills down your spine... and to think i walked out of it with a bump on my head and some dissorientation... is beyond me... God must have been on my side that day...
but to top it all off... guess who was to blame for that one??? ME!!!! since the guy had run the stop sign from the block before... and not this stop sign... (cause he didn't have one) i was to blame...
but oh well... that's life...

almost forgot to mention... bmw's are built extremly solid... no frame damage on the z from that accident... but the parts are so damn expensive... i was waiting for 2 months for a wireing harness for the door. got a free wing out of it though... and i never paid a deductable for any of my accidents... it helps to know people...
