Show us your accidents!!

Goddammit, I was hoping I'd never be able to post in this thread, but well ..

This is what happens when you hit a patch of loose gravel going uphill on a curve doing 40mph .. and your back tires break free, the ass end swings you around 180 degrees, and you smash your ass into a guard rail.

Just happened on Saturday. Going to the body shops tomorrow for estimates.

Not yet .. but I'm going to a few body shops this afternoon for estimates. Hopefully I'll have things started on gettin' it fixed within the next few days. For now, though, it's sitting down in the driveway looking like hell. (sad1)

Need a pair of APC Atlezza style brake lights? I've got a pair of those from the prize drawing in Mazda Madness 04 in BC.
I cannot use it cause I drive a P5 instead of the sedan.

i like this thread too misbehave, now mopiko did you actualy hit that curb and have the car bounce up onto it or did you slide down the hill? If you bounced up onto the curb I would have emagined the car would have taken a lot more damage. Either way... nice pictures
Na, I slided up that divider sideways..

As you can see the highway was where my front is pointing, did a 720, then my rear tire hooked on where the divider started and slided up with it and rested there.

do anyone have gap protection? that thing u pay like $10 extra a month on your car note, so that if your car gets total that your not responsible for your car notes anymore. no matter what you owe on it. the only accident i've had is that one of the factory dunlops that came on the car blew out and i hit a curb going 35 to 40mph. no body damage. the hit was so hard that it knocked some chip thing out and the car wouldn't start. so i had to get it towed to the dealer. but the good thing is that i didn't have to pay for it cause of the tire warranty.

I've got gap protection on my insurance. Who wants to continue to pay on a car after its been totalled? Lucky im way ahead on my payments compared to the value of my car so all is good anyways..

i think im like in the $11000 range of whats left but i only had the car for a year and 2 months. the car has close to 26k miles which is alot of miles for a year in 2 months but that will be cut in half this year cause my sister has a car now. i just drive to work and school and thats pretty much it now.

Some kid in a CorollaS tried to keep up on Alpine Rd...

OOPS! At least you were nice and stopped and took pictures of his car so he can remember how a Toyota is not a Mazda.

The new Corolla need to be lowered atleast a foot before it can take on those roads. Their ride height is riduclously high for a passenger car. I have no idea why Toyota design the Corolla like the way it is now. I used to love the 1993-1997 generation of Corollas (a.k.a AE102).

I personally like the corollas, both present and past. The new ones have much nicer interior. The problem is they're meant to get people from point A to point B in as straight a line as possible. There's a TON of things that needs to be done with it suspension-wise in order for it to handle any twisties.

Exactly!
The new Corolla have really nice interior. Actually kind of have an Audi interior feel. But yes, it really need some serious suspension modding.

This just happened on Friday. Some 16 yr. kid decided to run out into traffic from in front of a bus just as I happened to be passing. The kid is ok, he's badly brusied and banged up but he's luckly to be alive imo. I was never charged for obvious reasons, but it sucks that now I have to pay my $500 deductible and my insurance rates will probably go up, even though I was not at fault.
