ouch! what happened?
I was going on I-5 on my way from Seattle to Vancouver BC.
There was a jam there and the road was pretty much packed.
Everyone was like stop and go, stop and go, doing 20 to 25 max.
I came to a complete stop behind a Honda Accord. Then all of a sudden the stupid 93 Cheve 1500 pick-up behind me ramped into my back and pushed me foward. The impact was go great that I estimate he must have been going 40 to 50 when he hit me. I actually saw him coming on my mirror and hear the tire screech, but there just wasn't enough time for me to warn my wife about it who was sitting next to me. All I could do was just hold on to the steering wheel and press on to the brake as hard as possible so that my car wouldn't be pushed to hit the Accord ahead of me or worse, to the next lane.
That's also how I got injured worse than my wife cause I was holding hard so my body took a lot of the impact.
Here is the jerk's truck:

He must have been ******* blind.(lick)

Aw that sucks! (pissed)

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad to hear that nobody's seriously injured. (There was a fatal accident on I-5 this past weekend - Corvette was speedin' and caught some air and flew into the oncoming lane. ouch.) Hope the truck guy is insured..

Ouch! Did anyone (other than the stupid selfish Corvette driver) get hurt?
I personally don't care if the Corvette driver live or die. If he lives, he should be forbidden to control anything with wheels from now on. If dead, even better.

Well, for my case, I think I was quite lucky that the guy was insured.
Another lucky thing for me is that a guy with an black Cheve S-10 pickups saw the whole thing and actually stopped to help me call the cops and told them what had happened. I was too dizzy to remember anything that moment, I wish I could call him and thank him but I just couldn't remember his name.

The two in the corvette didn't make it. From the King5 website:
-------------------------------------------
CONWAY, Wash. - A speeding southbound 1998 Chevrolet Corvette veered into the Interstate 5 median, sailed about 10 feet into the air and nose-dived into two northbound vehicles, leaving two people dead.
State troopers said the driver of the Corvette, Leon Fix, 66, and his passenger, Penelope Fix, 61, both of Arlington, died in the accident about 12:50 p.m. Monday near this southern Skagit County town.

The Corvette had been weaving through traffic and when it "came out of the median, it was pointed nose-down into the pavement and the back end was straight up," State Patrol trooper Lance Ramsay said.

Northbound lanes were blocked by the wreckage of the Corvette, an Isuzu Trooper and a minivan, and traffic was backed up as much as three or four miles for more than four hours.

Six others were injured in the crash, including Kevin Roberts, 39, of Renton, who was listed in serious condition early Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The other five were taken to Skagit Valley Medical Center in Mount Vernon.

Mikey444: **** you for creating this thread
I think you need to simmer down
Mikey444: EAT s*** and die Mredz
Thats not a very nice thing to say now is it?
Mikey444: no one wants to ******* hear about accidents or think about it..
Then why are there over 100 posts on here...? Bottom line accidents suck but its part of life (s*** happens). My cars in the shop again as I type this after my window exploded last week and shredded the door paint all up on my car. So quit your bitching and blaming (gtfo) and try to find some levity in it all.

I actually like this thread a lot.
For one, I am able to find a lot of people who share the same pain of having our car wracked.
And then I can learn from all the story and experience here to attempt to avoid some accident that might happen to me on the road in the future.

i like this thread too misbehave, now mopiko did you actualy hit that curb and have the car bounce up onto it or did you slide down the hill? If you bounced up onto the curb I would have emagined the car would have taken a lot more damage. Either way... nice pictures
