I have seen all of their instructions, the mounting points are under the gutters but you would be responsible for figuring out where/how to cut.

Thats true, all i had to do was take the rain gutters off (very easy)

- then mark where the pre installed fix point receptor is on the car
- cut the aluminum rain gutter with a dremel
- re apply rain gutter
- install rack.

First install mabey took me 1 hour to 1.5 for the whole process. now that it is installed it does not take more than 10min to install/ remove the rack.

I use a small piece of black electrical tape to cover the whole i cut, and no harm no foul.

IMO way better than the Thule rack that clinches into the door sill.
