Am I the only one not aware of engine's blowing up? WTF? I would expect these things to be farely reliable!
I am definitely starting to believe that they weren't made to mod too heavily..
I never had either... I know of a guy around town who is running 30lb. of boost. I don't know what all he has done to the car, but he hasn't had any problems. I'm assuming it really is luck of the draw.
Another one what?
Talking about ALL the problems. Again .00x failure rate, duh.
I still don't understand your broken english.
Your car blew up as well? Or you're being sarcastic at the low amount of actual engine failures?
Makes sense. Thanks!
Yeah I remember reading about how Evo's and WRX's, you have to tune everytime you mod. Our cars should be no different really. Although I don't know what you'd tune, other than make the ECU recognize the new gains.
i think he's frustrated at the number of people panicking over "all the blown ms3 engines" when, in fact, there have not been that many unexpected engine deaths. this doesn't include the no-brainers (untuned big turbo cars).
And several "oops I accidentally shifted to 2nd instead of 4th"!
It's ass! I had read that a few people were riding out 3rd gear to shift into 4th and pulling it back into 2nd by accident causing a huge over rev that ventilated the block.
no way hes running 30 lbs. if he told u that he's full of it 30lbs=by by engineI never had either... I know of a guy around town who is running 30lb. of boost. I don't know what all he has done to the car, but he hasn't had any problems. I'm assuming it really is luck of the draw.
