well said and true. IMO, if anyone is out heavily moddifiying the MS3, they would have been better off buying a new or used STi to begin with. They are built more solid in terms of abuse and modding and respond better than the MS3. Why invest $5k plus into mods when you can just go upgrade from day one.

that said, I agree, the MS3 is a great bang for the buck. Handles, has power to pull you out and is a quality car. I like the new 09 WRX's a lot, but IMO, it's a bit of a price to pay to have 4wd and to get the times out of it, you have to launch it pretty hard.

And Mazda's never been a straight up HP company anyhow, their main kick is motorsports and handling. And this car handles amazingly, brakes are awesome, and it has just enough power to punch you out of corners.

Once you appreciate the car for what it is, it makes a huge difference. It's NOT a straightline car, it's not a 1/4 mile car. You don't see me drag-racing a damn person from a dead stop. From a roll? Maybe another story lol..
