Sho's 7th Mazda!

Rolled 7k this weekend.

Had my free oil change done at 6800 miles as we are taking another road trip this week.

Still averaging 29mpg on highway trips, with i-stop off.

Couple things to note:
-while wind noise inside the car seems minimal, when I call my fiance while on the road, she complains that she can hear wind noise prominently on her end. Havent received that feedback from anyone else, however she's usually got airpods in...maybe its amplifying it in her ears?

-the more aggressive you take off from a stop, the smoother the 1-2 shift is. The short gearing and the wet clutch really appreciate a more aggressive take-off IMO

-i wish the front seats had thigh extenders

Another road trip in the books for the better halfs bridal shower. Came back with more than we left with and just under 9k miles on the clock now! Averaged 27mpg on the trip both ways, from Louisville to Baltimore and back loaded up with the 3 pups, luggage for a week, etc.

Love these updates...How did it handle the load and that rack extension on the back. Did that affect handling, noise levels etc?

No affect on noise or handling that was noticeable! If anything just a slight dip in MPG from the additional weight we were hauling.

10k+ mile update!

Thanks for the heads up about the TSB!

9-031/25 – DUST - SAND ENTER CABIN WHEN OPENING REAR DOOR

TSB NUMBER: 09-031/25

TSB ISSUE DATE: 08/05/2025

BULLETIN NOTES APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS: 2024-2026 CX-90 2025-2026 CX-70

DESCRIPTION: While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. NOTE: This repair procedure is an interim countermeasure. After a mass production change is implemented, the repair procedure will be updated.
