does it matter which cai you get when it comes to the short ram or the long one?? thanks for the info... 
If you're gonna buy a CAI, then go for the Injen, I have the MHP and love the look. But the damn thing doesn't fit right. Stay away from short rams in my opinion, just get K&N panel filter instead. Or you could buy a Conical filter and install it in the stock air box. Kinda like the S2000 uses in it's stock box. Just my .02 cents

i see that everyone here either has that or the aem and i was talking to the local performance shop and they said that all of those were customized and that a real CAI would be made for the protege next month but it would be made bu weapon r and it will be a short ram???????

From what I read on ALL the board on Mazda Protege, the AEM short RAM is the BEST.
That why I'm planning a group buy here in Montreal.
The best price that I get from now is 290$cd + tx
On www.protegeclub.com, there his a few threads on AEM short Ram ans INJEN CAI. Most of the guys on this board prefer the AEM.
