Shock Absorbing Tri-ball Hitch (pictures)

I installed a shock absorbing tri-ball hitch to my Hidden Hitch 87438 on my CX-9,

it prevents idiots who can't parallel park or park by "feel" from scratching up my rear bumper,
they really think twice when they see that tri-ball and contemplate if they really want a dent in their front.

I installed it right after I bought the car, I do not have one scratch or gouge on my rear bumper

This is a good alternative and less conspicuous to those ugly dangling mats.
I just can't stand those ugly rubber mats that people install on their rear bumpers
with the mats dangling and flapping as they drive down the road. My friend actually
had one of those and he was shocked when he took them off, the damn mat
actually did more harm than good! it actually rubbed and scratched the bumper
from all that flapping during highway driving. Also a lot of dirt and sand got trapped between the mat and the bumper.

In all fairness to the mat manufacturer, they do say to stow away the mat before
driving but really how many people do that after ~2 weeks of installing the mat,
it just gets cumbersome and people just leave it dangling.
