ship wheels and tires

How do you think would be the best way. I thought about going to like a u haul place and finding a box that would fit them but wondered if it would be strong enough... Take the wheels off and ship the tires by plastic wrap and zip tied together, and ship wheels by them selves in box.. Ideas guys

I dont. I got them put on at discount tire. Might be able to go buy one of those stores and see if they have any 18" rim boxes then ship the tires separately.

when I sold my koseis/rcomps to another member here, I layered bubble wrap between the two rims, then used strong packing tape to secure them together, more bubble wrap to cover any exposed part of the rim, then cut circles of heavy cardboard to cover the exposed part of the rim to the outside edge of the tire, then giant zip ties through the cardboard circles...they got there without a scratch.

UPS will screw you over, that's for sure. I recently shipped an RC truck from Maryland to California, weighing in at 13.4lbs. Cost me almost $50.

Kinda curious myself. I will be shipping wheels myself soon
