shifting - reving

nah dawg, i got my p5 to 11! thats right, while i was racing a gto, beating him. and i was stock yo. and i got 55 mpg while i was doing it

With the Manual Transmition whenyou chainge the Oil doesnt this also change the Tranny fluid, and on a Auto Tranny you need to change both a tranny fluid and the oil?

Also is the "Sport Auto" The auto with a manual mode is it the same as a Manual (Only the oil need be changed) or a regular auto (Tranny fluid and Oil need be changed)?

if you know how to change motor oil, tranny fluid is easier to change. dont know how often.

edit: i'm too slow.

read an article on gas milage and they said; to get the best milage, accelerate WOT till you get to your cruising speed then cruise at that speed. it was in my car and driver magazine? will have to find it and post exactly what they say......

BTW: i shift on the high end most of the time! then engine likes the upper RPM range!

when i'm not in a rush I shift at anywhere from 2200 to 2800, but when
i'm pushin it 4300 to 4500. gas is to expensive!!

seems when i drive my protege hard it does not hurt my milage as much as it does when i drive my jetta hard (boosting). the needle falls fast in the jetta when driving hard but gets better milage then the P5 when taking it easy!

why are you heel toe shifting?? we have synchronized trannys...
I don't get it...I think you're thinking of double clutching. Heel and toe alows you to brake and downshift at the same time, while matching revs, so you're not upsetting the car while you do so.

Also puts less wear on clutch, motor mounts, tranny, diff, etc
