I'd been looking for a solution to the freezing cold/burning hot knob conundrum, and found that a few people had knitted covers for their shift knobs. I eventually found a pattern for one and had my girlfiend's mom knit me up a prototype. It worked pretty well, and with a few minor modifications, I finally have the final piece. Now my hands stay a nice temperate degree while shifting. What do you think?

Nice. :) I'm currently in the process of knitting one for my shift knob as well.

have to say the cover looks pretty cool. nice knitting skills from your gf's mom :) this looks like the stock knob tho, which is mostly covered with pleather.

That looks cool and nice.

I'm using the knob sock I purchased for my Subaru on the Speed3 these days. Got it for a couple bucks in the bebeh section :)

I just slip my golf glove over the knob when its that hot/cold

Just wear gloves. I like the idea, but it makes your car look like it smokes doobies. But definitely a good job on the red stitching.
