MazdaSpeed6
Back in 2004, I read about the Mazda6. I told my wife that the next new car we would buy would be a Mazda6. She was a little miffed at the time since she thought I was merely imposing my will upon her. In January 2007, we went to the Washington DC new auto show. I found myself looking repeatedly at the Mazda6. In March, I saw the incentives offered by Mazda and decided to take the plunge. I was commuting in a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 GT, and my wife had the old Camry. While she liked the Camry better in many ways than her Focus, she still wasn't satisfied.

With her biological clock ringing like Big Ben at midnight, she was interested in a family-oriented vehicle that was the same size or smaller than the Camry. She looked at Subarus and the Mazda5, but she was also curious about the Mazda6 wagon. A dealer about an hour away from us had a value edition wagon available, and Mazda was holding out a good rebate. She did a testdrive of the Mazda6 wagon, the Mazda5 and the Mazda3 5-door. She hated how the Mazda5 drove and felt. She liked the Mazda3, but it was too small. Needless to say, she ended up with the Mazda6 wagon. She followed me back from the dealership, and I could see her smile in the rearview mirror the whole way home.

Now the problem is that she doesn't want to go to work. She just wants to drive her new car around all day long.

She also conceeded that I was right about the Mazda6 being the choice for the next new car. It's too bad that wagons aren't popular. It's a very nice vehicle, and it looks a lot better than the Mazda5 IMHO.
