Car is 4 months old and has 1900 miles. The service reminder notice comes up when starting the car. Anyone know what's going on? I thought there was a way to turn the warning off - anyone know how?
Thanks

I believe that is the quarterly service wrench correct? I believe the reset if there is in the system settings for the oil monitor. It should be a free charge to change for the first year and won't hurt to change it earlier than 5000 miles

One of the setting in the infotainment system will turn it off or reset.

Refer to the manual to review the maintenance intervals (there is a 5k, 7.5k and variable table based on the OCI). The dealer may have set you on the shortest cycle, as mine did. But I'm a low mileage, long trip driver so I just reset the 4 month reminder when it came up and set the service interval based on OCI monitor when I got the car. The tire rotation is recommended at 5k or 7.5k.

Mine did the same thing. It's the 4 mo reminder. You can go into applications, maintenance and change it. After you get your first oil change set it to flexible and it will give you a percentage of oil life. With your mileage you can probably get an oil change every 10 months.

You have Type B Maintenance Monitor and you can access it through your infotainment system. You can reset or change all 3 maintenance categories, Maintenance, Tire Rotation, and Oil Change, any time you want. Of course the best is to reset each once you've done the related maintenance. Here are Mazda's Schedule 1 and my recommendation: Maintenance: 7,500 miles / 6 months; Tire Rotation: 5,000 miles; Oil Change: Flexible.

When you set Oil Change to "Flexible", the Maintenance Monitor will turn on oil life monitor and display "%" of your oil life left. A red wrench indicator and "Oil change due" message will tell you when to replace you oil and oil filter. The maximum oil change interval can be up to 12 months or 10,000 miles. This is the best for your situation as you may go up to a year to change oil as your driving miles would be low. Make sure to specify Mazda moly oil for oil change to "achieve optimum calculation performance" when you use Flexible OCI.

Personally I did the first oil change with Mazda moly oil at 5,073 miles and 8 months with 33% of oil life left. I did my second oil change with Mazda moly oil at 10,878 miles and 15 months of ownership with 50% of oil life left.
