SELL MSP or UPGRADE

Have fun pulling bitches in your high 13 second stressed internals, superior handling, shift knob having econobox.

No problem ;)

Anyways, I was agreeing with each having their own strengths, but you insisted to argue, and theres nothing a guy sitting on his computer on lunchbreak does better than chatroom arguments.

In all fairness though, the SRT made a much bigger imprint on the SCC scene than the MSP since they actually made more than 2750 units, something mazda sure didnt think they could pull off with the MSP/ doesnt mean one is better than the other, but at least people know what your srt is, people look at me like WTF is a mazdaspeed. but then again thats another part of the MSPs appeal.

And to finish the SRT argument, blkzoomzoom 13.6 stock appearing, at least one of us can hang with you guys "stock"..

I knew you'd like that. Since my car doesnt have one.

Actually there was no argument in the first place, all I got from you was insults, and naming off other engines that would somehow smoke me like I didn't know that there were other cars faster than my econo-sh*tbox. MSP's are more known that you think. Not very common but known. For example there are only two SRT's in my squadron, also there are two MSP's as well. But I guess that is common in my city, as there's too many stupid fast cars both import and domestic. Its hard to even compare when running 13's is average and I'm one of the slower SRT's here. Sucks but what can you do? You got to pay to play.

see page 3 and 4 before you started knocking my subs, amp and 10psi on 91.. maybe more people know the MSp in the states then in Canada, all I get here is "whats that orange one?"

so basically to answer your question, a stock msp + the cash difference of a srt in mods will beat a stock srt4 in the quarter mile and handling wise with cash to spare. after that you need internal work (rods) so in the longer term the srt has the benefit of going farther on stock internals. the srt can be made to handle like the msp as well. of course thats buying msrp, not sure what the difference is like for you guys in the states. My car here in canada is worth around $15K, SRTs are around 20K. Ive put about 2 Gs Canadian into my MSP but did the work myself.

What a stupid thread! It started good but the SRT4 argument polluted it once more.
Bottom line: each one of us buys the car we like and most people in this section have bought an MSP. If we cared about the SRT4, we would have one. We don't!
Amen :)

If you got the money go with an STi of Evo. Just a hell of a lot easier to get the power #'s you're looking to get.

word.

if you want your msp to be very fast (300+), get a beater and prepare to spend around 5k. and even then... a reliable 300+ msp is asking too much if you ask me.

just get an srt-4. :)

now MAM is selling rods for $400, the MSP keeps looking like the way to go.

I have never heard of these rods, what are they rated at and are there any big turbo upgrades availible for the MSP? I dont know if everyone is confident in tearing down a block, and then rebuilding it.

I say we all just get along..srt4's and msps are both nice cars, they have their differences and similarities. We dont have to keep bragging and get a 30 page thread of just arguments. The cars are what they are. I have a msp and like the uniqueness of it, but I still think the srt4 is pretty nice and fast..So there, both are cool cars and no more boasting of egos please.

SRT-4 is a better car if you don't want to turn as fast. If you don't care about power the MSP is nice.

I mean, you can't really diss a car that can make power like an SRT-4 can. I don't really get why you'd want it all in a FWD car, but I'm sure it's fun when you aren't spinning tires.

I can see srt-4 owners care so much about their cars..... ******* dumbass.... still funny with the trays! i used to do that in my volvo lol
