The main thing to realize here with insurance is that when a few people crap their pants in one particular vehicle, everyone gets to wear diapers. So, STOP SPEEDING and getting into accidents and it'll keep all of our rates down, K? lol :D

I was amazed that my insurance was only like $80 more per 6 months versus the old 2004 Toyota Matrix I traded in for it! Maybe the insurance companies "haven't" quite caught on yet. I know when I had my STi I was getting *****. I was 28 and had no prior accidents or tickets on my record.
Wow, i traded in my 2004 Solar Yellow Matrix XR for an MS3 as well. I pay 684/6months (114$ a month) for insurance on this car, im also 25 years old and have 1 ticket and no accients but amazing credit.

I pay about 2k a yr. Some of you people are getting off extremely cheap, like I wonder if your insurance is even ligit, etc..

I hate to say it, but I think that I have the lowest cost insurance on here. I was paying $102/month for the my last term and I just renewed for $80/month for my 07 Speed6 GT and 08 Speed3 Sport. I am with Ameriprise (Costco) and fully covered.

I see you have the oil cap mod also. Mine was spiking at 16-17! i needed a tune. Looking through our helpful how to feature i was able to clamp the the voltage and tame the beast. Mine is Red. What color did you get! oh yes mine is similar in cost but i am old and very safe. and um, yep, male

(lol)Mine is red also. It came with the car when I bought it. I figure the oil cap reduces aerodynamic drag and helps reclaim the horses.

To the MS3077's comment "I pay about 2k a yr. Some of you people are getting off extremely cheap, like I wonder if your insurance is even ligit, etc.." My insurance is legit, Ameriprise is American Express Financial. Its the Costco discount, I'm older (31), married, and I live in Columbus, Ohio. But I can definitely see where you are coming from.

To give a little more perspective, I lived in Chicago 2 years ago (downtown), renting, and I only had a 2004 Maxima. Cost was $580 every 6 months for the same identical coverage, same company. It is definitely dependent on location and where the car is garaged.

"It is definitely dependent on location and where the car is garaged"

Yeah I think too much so.

Geico jump

yea my insurance just went up $100 for 6 months on my 07 speed3

tiegt, I have Geico (Gecko) and my rate went up about $140 per 6 months. No tickets /accidents, old dude (braindead(braindead(braindead, great credit.

The bump up in premium was after dropping coverage on a BMW 325i and replacing it w/ the Mazda. They didn't ask if I had a MS 3, but as soon as the VIN when in (online form) the motor and trans details were auto filled. insurance companies used to be dumb, but ont so much anymore.
Ah, the good old days...

I was paying 205 a month for a 06 Mariner/07 CX-7 and home owners with jewelry bonds. I turned in the mariner and picked up the MS3 and am now paying 232. Funny thing is it trickled up over the last 6 months though about $5 a month. Been the same for two months now.

I pay $225 a month with Geico for my 07 cb speed3. I'm 23 yrs old. My previous car 07 2.5i subaru impreza wagon was 185 per month.

I had my wife call our insurance company yesterday (Liberty Mutual) and the MS3 was about $200 more per year than an 08 STI.

I bet the STI is cheapter to insure due to the AWD. Probably considered a safety feature.

I'm 21 and I pay 1400 a year for FULL coverage with Travelers. I've had my license for 3 years and have had no priors in the past. :knock on wood:

I pay about 140 and change but I am on my moms policy. No tickets and Im 21. Been in 1 accident but not at fault. With allstate
