Carfax can and will give inaccurate information about car's maintenance. It happened twice on my current car. I regularly check the maintenance records and twice ( so far) Carfax had the wrong information. Or rather whoever reports that maintenance item to Carfax. First time, after the oil change, the dealership failed to report the odometer and second time the dealership (again!) failed to report the oil change. I had to manually add them to my Carfax maintenance records.

i figured by now dealers know how to manipiulate the data-i asked a dealer about title washing and he said he never heard of it but the car i was looking at had 13k purchased in NY then titled in Georgia and back to NY-these people do this crap every day ...it was shown on the carfax report i didn't think it was inaccurate but that the dealers figured a way around something

Update: the issue with the wing mirrors not automatically folding seems to be (temporarily?) fixed with the help of online tutorials and a can of WD40! Seriously, despite all the things wrong in this world rn, the value of forums like this and YouTube is simply priceless!!

That can help with water displacement, but you'll want to get a permanent lubricant in there (WD-40 is not a lubricant).

Would silicone spray suffice? I used WD40 first to get of trapped water, followed by silicone.
