Sedan Roof Spoiler

Hey guys...
I was wondering if anyone has one on their sedan? I was thinking about getting the one from Wings West since they are the only maker in the market right now. If you have one, how much did you pay for it? and what did they use to install it?
Please pose some pictures if you have one....

i thought it might look cool too. But on further inspection......there are black lines on the roof of the MSP on either side which kind of flow into the black border of the rear window. And the rear spoiler thing kinda breaks up those lines. thought that might detract from any good looks it could provide......

on second thought. I think its a great idea and you should get one so i can see how it looks :)

Hey....
Well if i get back a call from the bodyshop that i want to do it at and if the price is right i'll go for it as my first exterioir mod. I think it's a unique piece that adds a nice touch to the car...

How much would you pay for one?

ive never been a big fan of them, dunno, just seemed unnecessarily breaking up the flow of the car, kindof like a mid-hatch spoiler on the p5.

make a photoshop and post it up, maybe it can convince yourself more if you really like it before you shell out the cash.

That's true....
I've seen man 3 series BMW with them and they are superv looking. Manufacturers like ACS and Hamman are examples.....I think it's a nice piece...
It really depends on the cost though....

Quite subtle on the M3...Its a unique touch which I think works nicely on the bimmer...the M3's body lines, 2dr setup and it matches the spoiler lip.

Anything larger than the ACS M3 one...I think is too much.

Hey. I went to my local bodyshop and they told me that the Wings West Roof spoiler is not availble for the market. Is this true?
Then why would it be on the Wings West Protege?
I e-mailed Wings West and they told me it was avaible for $199 USD.
I'm interested in one....But i can't seem to find a place in Toronto that can get me one. Sucks

I got one. I bought it from www.protege5online.com and jsut received it a couple of days ago. I think that it's going to look very subtle but sweet! I'm getting it painted later this week so i should have it installed by then. It's only mounted by 2 strips of double sided tape. I'll have pics when it's on.

i hear matching the paint for the msp is gunna be a b****, and some shops won't do it at all. I think mazda doesnt even sell touch up paint.

gluck, and post pics! :)

The guy that's doing my car has his own shop and said that he was able to mix the paint no problem. He just followed the color code and there it was. I have yet to see but he says that it wasn't too hard at all. I'll show you all in a week or so.

Do you think double sided tape will hold it down strong enough?
I've heard from Bimmer owns that they have incidents where the roof spoiler actually flew off when they were driving along on the highway.

Well, if you actually see the item in person, you'll think $145???? Where's the rest of it???. The item is quite small and comes in a box that's seriously 20 times the size. I'm not sure about the tape holding it up. I doesn't look like it'll hold it up against strong wind, but I'll have to see. Can't wait to get it painted and installed. Pics to come.

Hey gyrospeed.
After ordering how long did it take before it arrived? I think $145 USD is a good price, considering my other quotations that i've been getting. How much is it to paint in in Victoria? I don't think i'll use the double sided tape that comes with the kit. I think you're better off with those 'proxy' glue that they use on body kits.. it's much stronger. Post some pictures a.s.a.p
thanks!

It took about 2 1/2 weeks to get to me. Mitch from protege5online was really nice and I didn't have to pay for any duty. If you're gonna buy it, now's the time because the CDN $ is actually getting better so that will make the conversion probably a little cheaper than what I had to pay in the end. I'm not sure exactly how much the guy is charging me for painting it because I have 2 other things to paint at the same time so it's all a pkg deal. The guy is hooking me up though. I hope to have pics by next week.
