Second to third gear grinding?

When i shift quickly from second to third i get resistance almost like a grinding feel from third gear. i relized if a hesitate before putting it in third the is no resistance. im taking my car in tom. anyone have any ideas of what this might be???

ya i had the same problem. they replaced my third gear/synchros/ everything that dealt with third gear basically. and now its smooth as butter.

freek: what did you tell the guy to get this fixed?
some could say that it's "normal behavior" because you only get this resistance when you shift quick (or at high rpm)

well when i shifted form 2nd to 3rd quickly you could here it and feel it grind. i just took a tech on a test drive and showed him. and they replaced it. only took about 2 days to do. i didnt have to tell him what to fix, after the test drive tech said what it sounded like all that needed to be fixed. they ordered in anew third gear. he said if they found anything else they would fix it.

I have same problem but from 1st to 2nd when in high rpm. No problem from 2nd to 3rd at all. I have hurt 2nd gear several times...I think. Any idea to solve it?

Sometimes I grind, but it only happens when I don't shift properly.
