i see alot of talk about curb weight, if im not mistaken it weighs in around 2900 lbs and the mazda 3 is around 2850, thats not a big difference...

2900 is pretty damn heavy for a FWD.I mean yeah,big engine(2.4L)= more weight but the Spec V has a 2.5L it weighs in at only around 2700 lbs(plus it has LSD and 6 spd).

I really liked the way the tC looked in press releases. When I finally saw one on the lot, I was sorely disappointed.

the Tc vs the 3 I said before the 3 will probably be cheaper and is just as good of car. when you talk 3,000 more for the supercharger and exhaust, now your getting into used WRX, new SRT-4, and new Spec V with some nismo goodies to boot. price range.

The Tc is a fine car, but for a performance oriented driver...any of those 3 will wipe it's ass.

Agreed. For the $20,000 that a TRD SC'd tC (holy alphabet soup, Batman!), you'd still be making less power than an SRT-4 and not have the benefit of a limited slip differential... or for just a grand more, you can get the SRT-4.

The tC is a great platform for the casual modder. You start thinking serious performance, and you might as well get the Dodge or Scoobie.

uhhh....3300 lbs.????Are u high?So you are telling me that the TC weighs more than the new Evo MR which tips the scale at 3263 lbs.??The WRX weighs 3000 lbs. .The TC is 2900 lbs.
