No,,,actually; I am very open minded.......but we now have about 20 threads right here in this forum talking about THE NEON. I really think, personally, that 1 or 2 is more than enough.

Mazda has just plain beat all the others IMO in terms of refinement and the quality that the overall product exudes.
Yes this is subjective but Car and Driver said ," BMW 3 series virve for under 17 grand." I'll be willing to bet they never say that about a Neon.
The Car magazines have all said the same thing over and over again which basically is that while the Mazda's haven't had as much HP as the competition they have had a better overall driving experience. And that afterall is what we are doing 8/10ths of the time in our cars driving. Not racing...@ least those who use them as a primary vehicles.
And with that I would like to say Chyslers are like turds with really pretty wrappers. Or in the Neon's case a turd in a turd's wrapper.

anyway, when all is said and done, i think the msp looks much better than the neon...and to me looks are an important thing..

Looks are important. But think some people here are getting defensive and offensive.
Was hoping this would atleast turn into a discussion on the techincal aspects of the car. For any factory tuned car to come out in the sport compact segment, can benifet us all.
And agree the Proteges' look much better, but looks are a personal taste and can not be defined across a mass crowd.
Still nice to see another car marker finally realize the craze going on in sport compacts, and offering a good perfomer that is also supported by factory warrenty through a wide range of upgrades.
