Saw 1st MSP with CF hood tonight

Dude comes rolling in the parking lot. Spicy O with CF hood on it. He looks at my car hard for a second, then circles and pulls beside it. Gets out, walks up to me and asks if I wanna run. I tell him hell naw(I only have 1,200 miles on my Baby) Get to talking to him, he plans on doing BOV and hard piping very soon. Said he has AVC Type-R sitting at home. If I catch him around town again I will get pics of the hood...Later,

What's up with this mofo's wanting to do some street racing? What's the point? Who cares if he can beat you a car length. It's so dangerous. You both have nice cars, so keep it that way. Just talk or go for a cruise or something. No need to race to prove nothing

Well, bad thing was I never got around to ask him bout the hood. But, I know it has 2 scoops in it, looks like Pirana's hood, so I'm guessing it's and APC hood. I checked out the DGM site last night and they have added a few new carbon pieces, so I'm bout to order some carbon...Later,

why the hell did you buy an import if not to race! the cars are meant for that! What is the turbo for? oh yeah to RACE, and maybe win. Also, just to let you know having the same car doesn't mean that you will be within a cars distance of winning, having the same doesn't mean s***! It's alll about whos the better driver, and more importantly it's all about winning. If I just wanted to cruise and drive around looking cool, I would have bought a cadillac. Don't take offense to this cause it's just one racers opinion. Street racing isn't dangerous, besides thats why they have traffic school! I love to race and will race anyone any time and anywhere.

THAT is one of the stupidest sentences i have EVER read on the board. How dare you say that street racing isn't dangerous? I remember reading a thread a while back that terry (spoolinMP3)posted about a (fatal)street race in miami, ive seen and read of them all over the country, including one death on rithcie hywy just 2 weeks ago due to street races. its stupid...take it to the track!:wtf:

how is ANY street racing a controlled environment? im not saying youre stupid, but youre friend is a big ****** moron.

i would say the only 100% controlled environment DESIGNED for racing is the track.

The only street I ever street race on is this new road in a new subdivision where no one even lives yet so its perfect. Its just like a 1/2 mile straightaway and its really wide and fresh pavement and its the boonies its the only controlled street races I have seen. A few of my friends go out there on weekends and stuff.

I am not really sure how some of you on this board can not only approve of street racing but believe that it is safe. Obviously you have not seen the obvious hardships that can fall upon those who participate in street racing. Your car, or any sports car for that matter may be designed to race....on a track. Not a street.

Words of advice: Grow up and open your eyes. Street racing is flat out dangerous. Feel like racing? Get your ass on a track.

I agree. Why take the risk of street racing ? It's really not worth what can happen. I always post track days on the forum. So save up alittle cash and get your street racing agression out in a controlled environment

Become a member! Get involved in your local club and go to a track.
You will learn SO MUCH MORE about going fast when you are on a track then when being an ass on the street.
Why is insurance so ridiculous for your people? Because idiots like you guys street race, and ruin it for the rest of us.
