**********'s New Intake Manifold 101

I do not have junk yard parts here.

3 months ago I was contacted by a company out of CA about this intake manifold that would show significant gains on the FS. So we have been testing this manifold on a NA and a FI car for 2 months. Both showed great gains. Dyno results are already posted on the MSP, as everyone has already seen. So I ordered a "boat" load of manifolds from the company and they are getting them casted over in Japan.

Now you guys are attacking me about a 626 manifold that looks similiar. This is new to my knowledge. So I asked the company in CA about the similarity and they said that it is modeled off of the '99 626 intake. Which makes sense, they are making them from designs already available and also makes it more cost effective.

Please stop making SU out to be the bad guy. I am trying to help the market grow for parts. These manis are being stocked here and P&P can be done also. I will more pics as soon as possible.​

beceause in discussion with cullen itl do more damage then anything...but ill let cullen take the ball on this since he knows more about it then i do at this point in time.

They have flappers, holes for the flappers, and the EGR valve will not work. People have tried this and have been unsuccessful. Someone search other forums about it.

Wow. I just gave Antoine $150 for AV status to get a comment like that? Please stop flaming SU. If you want a 626 manifold, nothing is stopping you from doing it your way. Next time you got a comment like that PM it to yourself.
 
When will the dyno results be posted for a NA car? Just would like to see the gains on that.
 
again, why not post more pics cullen? if you have "nothing" ton hide then let it flow

I was responding to Dexter's post, Not my fault you cant provide solid proof of whether or not your manifold is actually a custom job
 
Thanks, looking foward to seeing the dyno sheet anyway. Every little bit of hp counts.

I dont understand all the negativity in here, you would think will all the geniuses (jerkit) on this site someone would have found this manifold earlier..... ......but they didnt becasue it didnt exist.

what is 150 when you sell 5 manifolds and profit 2500 bucks

AV or not youre not being clear to the details of this manifold...

First you said you were sourcing them from Japan.
Then you said a company in CA came to you.

You flat out denied it was a 626 manifold; but now you admit it is based on the 626 manifold.

Why not just be honest up front?

Im not being a "hater", just asking for the truth.
 
Don't take the hating personal. Alot of vendors deal with the same thing from people. Just keep on making new products for the protege, people will buy. I actually appreciate every vendor out there for their work, if not for you guys, our cars would be boring to drive.
 
what about the vacuum rerouting? why cullen? if it was custom made why is there rerouting recessary?

please answer these questions. I dont want you to take advantage of protege owners so i just want to get down to the truth that is all.

I dont like to bash but until there are solid answers, i will be skeptical, and as an avid protege tuner that is my right.

Cullen, I have access to a JDM manifold. If you like, as a fellow vendor, you can send me a demo of yours and I will compare them as a third party and provide unbiased proof that the piece is legit.
