rx-8 twin turbo

Technically, you could... But people are having problems getting a single turbo working on the RX8, so I wouldn't count on it being cheap, as it'd be all custom... The two rotors would probably have to be split up, exhaust-wise, to two GT15's, or other really small turbos, as each rotor only puts out about the equivilant of a 1.3L 3 cylinder engine.

So, yes, you can... But not cheaply or easily.

Most tuners are opting for Superchargers. Due to the space limitations.

Remember, your adding forced induction to a N/A Rotary. Not the best setup as the Renesis has high compression to begin with.

I saw a running prototype Supercharged RX-8. They were in the process of reflashing the ECU. (that alone has been a total b****!!)

Performance gain?

This was early on in the tuning process and could have improved a LOT.
Torque was was up. They got the RWHP from 178 to 230 and I cannot remember for sure but the torque was about 200ish too.

Its not going to make it a Ferrari killer but it takes a car that most owners complain has too little power and makes it pretty interesting.
