Rust Proofing on a new car.

both these methods are good but theyre also both old. now dealers are no longer using the clear oil based jelly to spray under the car but rather a new non-oil based honey colored spray that dries on the surface and its supposed to be far superior to the old one. now does anyone know where to buy this stuff in a spray can or something?

Never heard of this one, do you know which companies do this?

me neither, but Krown's rust proofing is honey coloured. but I presumed that's the old method (method 1) though.

it might also matter that I live in canada so maybe u guys dont have this stuff available at all. but neways my toronto dealer gets it done by a company called Sym-Tech. and no theyre not the same the older style of yellowish spray is oil based and it never dries, it just stays a liquid which sorta sticks to metal surfaces and turns into almost a jelly with cold temps. now this new stuff is the same color but its water based and it dries completely on the surface metal which makes it great for spraying in the engine bay

Oil spray is the best.

The first place it will rust is inside the doors. So oil spraying will help big time.

I have a 1984 Mustang GT. I oil sprayed every year. Hasn't rusted yet.
