I've heard nothing but good things about both the rotors and axxis pads. Supposed to stop like a sonofabitch. Any testimonials?
hehe, CANNOT compare to stock.
the pads are louder (they make a shhhh sound when stopping......"metalmaster") i guess it's the different compound that makes that sound.
but u have much more stopping power.

i was talking with my friend, while we were installing the rotors, about how good brakes are good to a point.

in Los Angeles traffic good brakes are more dangerous because people behind you cant stop as well as you can.

a guy almost crashed into me when i braked to pull into a gas station because he couldnt stop as fast as i could.

I drive 175 miles in traffic everyday, about half of witch is stop and go.

and thanks DRSOUND for bringing these to cullens attention so we can get a GB,thanks for the effort!

Wow, this is a really good price. I wish I could afford it though, it sucks when you just dumped a bunch of money into your MSP and you're all out, and can't get in on an awesome deal like this!

I wish I had some cash, anyone feel like making a charitable donation?

Don't despair! It's the pads that really make the diff. in braking power. One can say it's 90% pads ans 10% the rotors, so you can get just some good pads at one point. The setup won't be as pretty but it prolly be almost as efficient...
My 2 cents (LOL!)

Info sent. I'll send the money after I get the final cost.

Thanks for the find Vic, and Cullen for hooking us up.:)

That's why u gotta drift that b**** into the station (cool)

LOL. anyway..

How hard is it to replace rotors? Never tried it b4 but that hasn't stopped me yet :P Anything needed besides basic tools? (shrug)

Thanks in advance.

does anyone have pics of these rotors installed behind stock msp rims? do cali residents have to pay the sales tax?

Its a 5 minute per wheel type of deal ... you will need a socket set and maybe 2 sockets. You might want to get a breaker bar or a tourqe bar though, sometimes the calipers are a real b**** to get off. There is a lag bolt on the top and the bottom of each caliper that is greased. Remove those and slide the caliper off the rotor. Remove the rotor from the wheel studs (might want to smack the center of the roter with a hammer a few times to loosen it). Put the new rotor in place attach the caliper around it. Grease the lag bolts and reinstall. Thats it. I can do it in my sleep now.

I have had 5 different cars and 3 of them have been different sizes. I would get them all from 12 - 15 mm... its usually in that range. The pads are easy as well. Here is what you do:

Once the caliper is off the rotor you will see the 2 brake pads attached to either side of caliper. Get the old ones out of there ... sometimes they are in there like rocks, so try to tap the top of them out and they will usually fall out. Notice the placements of the pads (one has a pull tab on it, the other does not) Put the pads back into the caliper, if you notice there is a notch on top and bottom of each pad that does to the corisponding part on the caliper, just put them in with the same orientation as the originals. Here is where you might have some issues. The new pads will be bigger than the old ones (for obvious reasons). Sometimes this requires that you compress the calipers open some in order to get the caliper and new pads to fit over the rotor. To do this i use a large mouth pair of channel lock pliers and push the pad compressor back into the caliper (take the pads off first, of course).

just read through and I noticed the mention of zinc plating....I assume cad plating is the same thing but available in different colors?

are these rotors available cad plated?
