dr sound, why is your car so low in the back....do you have a system? if so that must be a massive ass box.....two twelves? lol

s*** I just read the Mazdaspeed fitment only. These will fit my MP3 won't they? I thought the brakes and all were the same. Does it matter that I don't have ABS?

We can do the MP3 for the same price...

THESE ROTORS ARE NOT ZINC COATED.

The black coating on the hub will protect against rust, zinc coating is an extra finish.

If you would like the ZINC, please call to add it.

Not just for me, but please explain what the ZINC coating is and what it does.... thanks Cullen.. will be calling you soon.

hmm ok so these aren't zinc plated but the black stuff on the hub prevents rust.. so does that mean the entire rotor wont get rusty because of the hub being black? im confused lol

also, how much extra would it cost if i went with the zinc plated ones, and would they also have the black center hub? cuz that would be sweet

The black will just keep the rotor center from rusting (a common issue with rotors) the rotor itself will always rust ... but driving once and stopping a few times will clear it off. Anything with iron in it will rust eventually.

There will be the Black coating on the hub to prevent the hub from rusting. The Zinc coating is an extra coat over the entire rotor which alos helps with rust. The zinc wears off once the brakes are installed though. There Zinc takes another 2-3 days to get put on.

The GB is first come first serve basis.

Thanks for the info... seems like the ZINC is to just prevent them from rusting, say for a show car that may not ever hit the brakes..hehe! I'm going to pay for mine today and hopefully have by next week. I'll take pics for you guys once I get mine in. I'm not getting the special 'ZINC' coating.

The Zinc plating is basically useless .. once you drive the car for about a week it will be completely gone ... and your rotors will rust. For example today its raining cats and dogs here. I drove my car to lunch about 2 hours ago and just went out to get a cd ... my rotors are already rusty. When i get home tonight after all the stop and go driving they will be completely shiny again. In the morning they will be rusty again. Its just the way it is. Iron oxedizes pretty quickly in moisture ... even without rain ... the air carrys enough for them to rust.

Okay...well, I have factory zinc-coated rotors and they do not do s*** for rust protection on the rotor surface itself once you hit the brakes a few times. In fact, although it's humid here, my rotors began rusting within 4 hours of my driving the car. Of course, as soon as I hit the brakes, it went away. I ordered these brakes, and can't wait to get them! But, I will see how good the black paint is on the hubs, and may paint them with some rustoleum and another coat of paint before I put them on. We'll just have to see whn they get here. Hopefully, they shipped today!

zinc coating will prevent from rusting of the other serfaces that are not painted or are not touched by the pad.
like the holes inside, slots, upper ridge.....

True .. true

can most powdercoating places do zinc/cad plating or is it something special that most places cannot do?

also, can you get the rotors without the black paint on the hub? I am planning on having my calipers powdercoated when i put new rotors on so i would probably just PC the hubs also since it would hold up better than any paint

Damn, I put money in my account yesterday and it hasn't cleared yet :'(
