Rotor Removal

My freind has already removed his calipers from his MS6 but now he is wondering how to get the rotors off. He said he thinks there are two screws holding it in place but he may have stripped the heads. Any help would be appreciated.

If he stripped them you might have to pick up an extractor set to get them out. I used an impact drive took the screws right off. Its about 25 bucks from sears. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00947641000P all you do is hit it with a hammer and it acts like a torque wrench to remove the screws.

just about to say the same
people think those are hand torqued screws, WRONG, those things are there to stay.
i say, drill thru them.
tell you the truth, in theory, they are not needed and i'll tell you why.
they're there to hold the disk in place while it has no rims, because when you put the rims on, it gets sandwiched between the knukle and the rim. so, i say drill thru them and not worry about it....unless someone else has something else to say?

i mean, just from experience, my MSP does not use rotor screws in the back or the front, from factory.
some other cars do....cna't see the difference.

I never put the screws back in when I changed my rotors. Everything is still good. Rims holds the rotor on just fine.

Yeah I learned that they are to keep the workers on the production line from getting hit in the head by flying rotors.
