Rochester roll call!

There's one in Ontario county off of Hwy 104 and another near Geneseo.

What's a multi-poc meet? Ohhhh, Protege Owner's Club. Shouldn't alienate the other Mazda owners though :)

I don't, but interest in recent years has been very little. NYPOC is made up of an RX-7, a KL-powered Mercury Tracer (seriously), a few Prboes, a Speed3 and a 6s. But we were all Probe-owners at one time. I included NYPOC's website in my sig. If you guys are interested, let me know.

When I used to race it was NYIRP http://www.nyirp.com/ Leicester NY, good track south and west off the Avon exit of 390.

I remember racing at ESTA back in the day with my Probe GT. Does it still flood at the end?

Not much time for meets these days unless its close.

You mean does ESTA still flood? I'd assume, it's build in the woods around a swamp. I'll have my PGT there this Saturday for a test and tune.

I'll have to shoot for the RIT events then. I would have looked for the links but I figured you would have it memorized. (yes)

I'm participating. And it looks like I may win my class by default, since I'm the only D-stock car listed. I guess I'll just have to compete as an aside with the G-stock cars so I have something to compare my times to. This is my first time running on R-comps too, so it should be fun/interesting. I usually run Azenis.

wow the championships only have one d-stock? I am assuming you are a guy(?). I know some ladies groups have low #'s. Maybe the field is likely to fill up by game time.
G-stock good memories w/ my Probe GT. Street Mod w/ the Talon. Never auto-x the STi. Sad I know esp. considering it came with a free membership to SCCA.

I think it's just the location with few people willing to travel all the way out here to the middle of nowhere. It was in Philly last year and I assume they had a lot more participation. Right now there's only 100 people signed up and there are 6 classes with single participants. Yes, I am the one and only guy in D-stock. There's no B-stock competitors either, which is surprising since that's a pretty popular class with the RX-8, 350Z, etc.

Too bad I'm going camping(damp camping) this week. I would have seriously considered going down. Have fun and bring that trophy back to Rochester regardless of competitors.

I finally auto-x'd the Pro5. Had a ton of fun esp. in the wet the first two runs.

Anyone else make it yesterday? I saw the black RX7 w/ four different wheels. I thinks he's on this forum but didn't meet him (her?).

I didn't stick around for the awards but someone told me I won wood. Last I knew I was running third in novice without PAX.

Here's the nasty wagon in action,

Of course the one event I don't show up to, another forum member runs in. When you win your first trophy of the season you get a wooden plaque. All trophies are cone stickers with your place.

The guy in the RX-7's name is Nick, he's not on this forum as far as I know. Congrats on getting third, if that's what you ended up in.

doh. You have a speed3 right? Besides the RX7 and several miatas there was not to many mazdas.
I have to PM my buddy and see what place I got, if he didn't mention it it's probably third, they still havn't posted results.
You missed out on a GREAT course, first section was optional s curve or slalom, and it was run twice each run, alternate to exit right on the transition.
Nick was running smooth. At first I thought there were two RX7s with colorful rims, but later realized he had four different colors. lols.
I stopped by his car but he wasn't around. I think he's on Roclife, I'll have to drop a note.
You going to the Oct 4th event? I am going to try and make it.

No, I have an MSP. Did the red MS3 show up? If so how did he do? He's the only person to beat me in class and I really wanted to have a show down with him. Unfortunately my company party was the night before, and to go along with the late night my wife and I both suffered from food poisoning. I was up every 15 minutes with stomach cramps Sunday morning. I just didn't have the energy to come out. Barring death or car trouble I will be at the October 5th event.

Results usually take a week to post because Jake and Brad are pretty busy.

didn't see the red MS3. food poisoning, that was sub-par. Didn't you get the memo not to eat clams this year. ;)
I am going to really try and make that event but my daughters b-day party is the night before and I may be entertaining out-of-towners that stay over. We'll see.

BTW Roch Mazda people there is a blue MSP for sale in Bloomfield anyone on this forum?

How much?

I just looked through the pictures for the event and the MS3 didn't show up. Another RX-7 was there though, running CSP. His name is BJ. All the regular Mazda people were there except for me.

re; msp for sale; drove by today and its gone

and the ms3 was missing too? So the red RX7 and black RX7. Mazda contingent seems low. I will try and boost it again Oct.5th.

I ended up 6th with pax, the only HS that beat me overall was that 08 Saturn Astra. I had never heard of one before, apparently Opel w/ sporty settings and a 135HP engine weighs 100lbs more than the Pro5. I'll have that in my target acquisition next time when I run Road tire HS. (evil)

I can give you the run down of the Mazda regulars:

Red RX-7, CSP - BJ
Black RX-7, SM2 - Nick
White Miata, CSP - Ed and his girlfield
Yellow Miata, CSP - Jake
Silver MSP, RDS - Me (Jason)
Green Miata, ES - Brett
Red Miata, STS2 - Tina and Brian Reeves

Looking at the results I would have landed somewhere between 10 and 15 for final PAX (you landed at 54, not bad at all).
