I ended up 15th in PAX. Overall for the season I averaged 93.7% of the top PAX, which means I averaged being in the top 6.3%. Looks like autocrossing for 7 years on street tires makes a bit of difference. The funny thing is that PAX is WITH street tires, so throw on r-comps and I should be in top 5% every event. Maybe at some event where Brian doesn't show up (the little F-mod car with the American flag on it) I could even get top PAX.
Yeah, I went to the monthly meeting for the first time, and it was pretty much to see how she was. I spoke with Jeff briefly, mostly because I know everyone has been asking. He said she would be getting out of the hospital the next day (the 8th) and would be weight bearing in 4-6 months. I know a little bit about how much that would suck, because I was non-weight bearing for 4 weeks and it was awful. I can't imaging how tough that will be for 4 times the length, not to mention the rehab afterwards. After my knee surgery it took me about 5 months before I was jogging, and I still don't have 100% of my leg strength back (14 months now), and I'm 28 years old. She's going to have a tough time coming back.
We might lose RIT, we might not. They shouldn't care too much because SCCA covers everything and is investigating the incident, and it's covered by the SCCA insurance. If they are assholes about it, we'll lose it and they won't let BMW club or anyone else run there either. If that happens, we'll likely move all events to Seneca, possibly an event or two at Batavia (WNY runs there once a year), and maybe even Xerox again.
If you plan on participating a lot next season you might want to come to the picnic on November 2nd. It's my first time going, but I have heard it is a good time.
