damn, thats alot to read.....my question is...what is the biggest tire i can run on a stock MSP, stock rims, stock suspension? im lookin at gettin some Toyo Proxes 4

Do you mean widest? 215-series without making additional modifications.

If you mean tallest, well I wouldn't personally put anything larger than 17's but 18's are frequently done. 19's? Nope.

Bump I see lots of people asking about 40mm offset on 7" wide. Those of you asking, have you installed them? Have they worked? If so what tire size? I've got a p5 and just found the wheel I want but then noticed it's 40mm offset... ugh!

go with the model I. i *almost got those instead of the IX's. th emodel X is ok, but its only a 40mm offset which will probably rub at some point. even the 42mm offset is pushing it, but is do-able.

sticking out? its not like they are going to be sticking out further than the fenders or anything. if anything, it will make the stance of the car look better.

Yeah those were my thoughts, too. There's another wheel offered that's very close looking to the model X, the VI. Probably won't get the wheels as I still kinda like my stockers, but... something to think about :)

I am looking at buying these used rims & tires.
16'' 5Zigen FN-01RC wrapped in nitto 205/45zr's two of them have good tread, the 3rd is decent but the 4th needs replaced

The guy I want to get them from only has them listed as 16'' 5Zigen FN-01RC wrapped in nitto 205/45zr's.... I checked wheel max and the black 5Zigen's do come in a 16x7.

I have brand new Yokohama AVS ES 100's 205/45/16's on my stock rims and I have the Eibach Pro Kit for springs.

I want to put my yokes on those rims. What off set(s) or back spacing do these rims need to be, so they do not rub?

Edit: If they are the size 1670 then they should have an OFFSET of +42 and weigh 15 lbs according to http://www.5zigenusa.com/

Anybody know if they will fit a lowered Protege5?

would a 215/40/17 fit on a +42 offset without rubbing?...yes, i already read rishie's receipe but i kno a few people who r running some offsets that he said wouldnt work...

edit: this is on a 17x7 rim and lowered 1.25" all around...

being only an inch lower -- you might be ok -- BUT peeps that say they dont have problems might have a different alignment -- they might have a slight VW angle which would allow less rub BUT more wear on the tires -- LOL

(braindead

ahh...very true...then ill just stick with the 205/40/17s and pray that i dont bend the rims over bad roads...

when i had my 17x7s -- it was a 215\40\17 on a +45 offset and Im 2 incehes lowered --- they did not rub except in the front, But only on hard cornering --

in there rear i had a slight tuck -- and all i have to say it damn it was so close to the fender -- but did not rub :)

uhmmm i'm trying to understand everything at the same time and i'm kinda having a hard time figuring this out

Offset wise, 225mm wide Azenis don't fit on an MSP with stock rims right ? id have to get new wheels or buy spacers ? Any chance of those 225 fit without rubbing ? I can have my fenders rolled if i have to. I'll need new tires soon and would like to go a step wider. i have stock suspension so i guess that helps against rubbing ?

thanks =)

ok, one more question...if i roll/trim the fenders, will i be able to fit the 215/40's in there with a +42 offset?...or is it just wishful thinking?

rolling fenders

I've rolled my fenders and have 205/40s with a +42 and it barely makes it with an occasional rub. My car is lowered and the rear rolls fine, even on straight away bumps. The only time it will rub just a bit is if there is a little dip or bump in a turn. The recipe shows +42 as barely making it and that's what it does. To be safe with 215/40s you should get something greater than +42. If your car isn't lowered I think you'd be fine. Good luck.

So......Me being new to the P5 scene, i want to put rims on my car. I was thinking some 18's. I am not going to be lowering the vehicle. What is the best tire and offset that i should look for. I am not asking for exact answers, but just ballpark.

Currently our policy does not allow for us to ship to Canada because of the customs and various problems we've had in the past. We to however have several Canadian clients who have it shipped to the Northmost part of the US. I guess it depends where you are.

Buffalo, NY is common for Ontario and some other places. There are also places you can ship them to for a small fee and pick them up.

Email me sales@autornd.com with your location. Best case we might be able to refer you to a dealer who handles that area for us.

Thanks, Rishie

So these wont work, will they? I am not lowered or anything. (P5)

Drag - DR-12 Gloss Black 17 x 7 5x100/5x114.3 40mm (Gloss Blk)

(Because the offset is only 40)
