hello people, i was just wondering if i could get some input on rims for my MP5, i have stock suspension, hasnt been lowered or anything. i was wondering what the biggest size of rims i could get are. i was actually looking at the mazda 3 snowflake style rims that are 17 " any thoughts as to wheather that would be ok and what tire size i would need to go with in order toprevent wheel rub???

here is a picture of the rim(rofl)(rofl)(rofl)

this is the mazda protege part of the forum, you should probably post that question in the 323 area.....

if somene could reply to my original question id appreciate it thanks!

The wheels will fit fine....IIRC they are 6.5" wide and have a +52.5 offset. At stock height you should be ok to run a 205/45, 205/40 or maybe even a 215/45 w/o rubbing issues.

I have the mazda 3 17" snowflakes on my car and they fit right on. I love them! If I knew how to post a pic I would :(

If the pics are on your hardrive, they can be posted by using the attachment option (click "Go Advanced" next to the Reply button). Or you can host them on a free Web site (i.e. flickr, photobucket) and then link them into the post by using

I never put those on my car cuz i was worried about clearance, just from eyeballing. I'm really gonna do it now, it looks good

Thanks for the picture, I've been eyeing this set of wheels too. Your tires seemed a bit thin tho, what profile are you running?

The tires are Nexxen 205/40R/17. They look thin but they really aren't that thin. Good strong tires, drove about 30,000 miles on them so far.

My first post..
so be gentle..

those rims look awesome! I have a '03 protege5 and an '08 mazda5 van.. I'm thinking of putting the vans rims / tires on the protege but the van is 17" and the protege is 16".. I'll post pics soon.. but the van will look stupid in my opinion with smaller tires.. so the wife may kill me.
