I've been reading a ton about the Cobb AP here and am very interested in the whole concept of tuning. Question is am i starting off with the right combination of mods?
Just ordered a Cobb TIP and Injen CAI, everything else is stock on my 07 Speed 6. Also ordered AWR rear mount and Stage 1 SS with bushings.
(Currently using 91 Octane - Shell Canada)
Any recommendations would be appreciated as I want to get off on the right foot with this great car. Thanks

sounds good to me. u might also want to get denso one step colder plugs. will run u like 45$ for all 4

That's pretty much what I did with my car minus the short shifter. I also bought the Forge BPV. I'm going to second ms3's statement as well. One step colder plugs are great for this car.

ohh yea. get a su test pipe. nice little gain and gives it a little deaper tone

From what I've heard it's a 20 minute swap with the catalytic convertor. You just have to have some way to lift the car.

its super fast if the bolts arent rusted on. 10 min if they arent. hour if they are. youre in bc tho so you should be fine. and i just saw u picked up that ap for 510 congrats. that was a crazy good deal

I'm 3rd in line for the AP I think, hopefully the other 2 fall through. Do you guys know if there is a limit to how many times you can flash the ECU?

one thing that should be understood in terms of the AP is the fact that you DON'T NEED mods to run it... i would so you would accually see the most gains from bone stock to bone stock + AP... i have it and love it.

Bought the COBB AP, Test Pipe, Injen CAI, Cobb TIP, TWM Stage 1 SS, AWR Rear Mount. Can't wait to get the parts and put them on.

There is no limit to how many times you can flash/reflash the ECU that I have ever heard of. I would imagine that since you're overwriting data on a memory chip that it would be technically limited to millions of writes/re-writes.

I hope I'm not alive long enough for us to find out how many millions of times you can rewrite that memory...

Can the dealer see a history of the ECU flashes, if you come in for service after reloading the original map?

Most people will say no, they can't. Some will argue. However, in order to argue that they can, that would assume there is another device of digital record on the car that reads the ECU. To my knowledge and from everyone I've ever talked to, there isn't.

I feel that it is safe to say with complete certainty that they cannot.
