ride height change with tokico illumina installed?

Does anyone know if the ride hight should change with tokico illumina struts installed? I noticed that my front fender gap seems to be a little higher then when I had stock struts.. My P5 is lowered with H&R springs.

any ideas?

they shouldn't, cause its the spring that suspends the car in the air. the strut just dampens the oscilation of the spring when compressed

basically you have fresh & stiffer shocks in place where you had old worn out shocks. So yes it could raisit slighlty because now that you have new shocks in they aren't "giving" as badly as the old stockers...

I've read in here that the Illuminas do drop the car slightly like a 1/4" or something compared to the stock shocks.

stock springs on a 00 with those struts = .5 to 1 inch higher than stock... i replaced mine about a year ago..

Well, I dunno abt him, but I'm going to change struts and not springs in the near future because it'll keep me in stock class in the SCCA
