I have my motor out and I removed my oil pan and now trying to remove my windage tray. Took off all the blots already but is not coming off. Would i need to remove the tranny first? and how do you remove the oil filter rod?

Yea if your taking it off anyway or just separate it a little bit and you can get to those two bolts hidden in there. OR you can drill two holes like what was done in the above post.

Ok, so how do you get the oil filer rod from the msp motor out? I see that it is longer then the N/A motor.

Take two nuts of the same size that fits on that. Tighten them together and use them to screw it off.

So i screw the 2 nuts all the way down so their tight and use the first nut to screw the oil filter rod out?

Oh yea thanks guys got the windage tray out. I see that there are small cracks is it still good? I don't see any major cracks that go through each side.

Anyone would happen to know what size nut is the correct size for the oil pan rod? Tried looking but can't figure it out and I don't have any spare nuts to try out.

Grave digging an old thread. I looked at the link to the other post on where to drill but the pictures are no longer there. Can someone show me where I would need to drill at? Thanks!

Can't really tell from outside the trans, either have to start drilling or just do it the correct way and pull the trans.
