Removing one of the CATS

Moved to engine & performance. How-to is for 'how-to' solutions as opposed to 'how-to' questions. Once there's a how-to solution, I'll move it back.

Edit: Oops, I moved it to Mazda6 by mistake, if a Mazda6 moderator can move this thread to Mazda3 engine & performance for me that'd be great. Thanks.
 
Just take the pipe off, cut off the cat section, and weld in a new one. Or just take the pipe off and knock out all of the cat with few long tools and a hammer.
