remote wire question

ok i no this is probably a really newby question but i just installed subs in my mazda 3 2006 and hooked up the remote wire from the subs to the remote wire on my new deck. but now i dont have steering wheel volume control. what im wondering is, can i put the sub remote wire and the steering wheel remote wires together and crimp the 2 blue wires so i can have subs and control the volume with my steering wheel ??

Wait, you can just crimp a couple wires together to get steering wheel volume control with an aftermarket deck/amp? I think I paid a fair amount of money to buy some little box that was suppose to make the steering wheel volume control work with my Premiere deck. I never installed it and I might have even misplaced it.

hirudin your right. i hooked up my steering wheel wire to the remote wire and sub wire and crimped them together and it didnt give me any volume control on steering wheel (just came inside from the car lol)

i no its not very top of the line but i swear it said i could use it for the steering wheel volume control

well i been reading up a bit and it doesnt look like im going to keep my steering wheel controls.. dang they were kinda a neat luxury feature

You'll need some kind of adapter to use the steering wheel controls.

You're looking for the PAC-SWI-PS for your Pioneer. It will tap into the steering wheel remote control wire and you have to program it and it ouputs the wire to hookup to your Pioneer....
