Remote Start -> 'Stop' message right away

Hello,

My remote worked fine until about a week ago. Now, when I attempt starting the car, I get 'Stop' message right away and the remote never beeps.

The batteries are fine as well as car's start conditions (I guess)

Anyone knows what's going on???

Even though you have been using the remote for awhile, make sure you are pressing the proper sequence and also make sure that you are not accidentally pressing any buttons on the left side by mistake (a common problem, I've heard).

To refresh, begin by quickly pressing and releasing the top right button with one short press to activate the remote (no beep), and then press and hold the middle right button until it chirps once.

If these steps don't work, I would try reprogramming the fobs to the remote CPU.

I know it's been a while since this question has been posted but I was having the same problem.
This response is more for people in the future who may face the same problem.
I was pressing the Function key before pressing the Start key for too long. You should just tap the function key and then press start.

It turns out that both keys in the sequence have to be pressed just for the "right" amount of time. If we press any key for too long, it does not start and displays stop message right away.

Once we figured out how to press the keys right, we have not had any more issues with remote start.
